Northbridge Brief

Northbridge Brief is for Singapore-based lawyers and legal teams who want to keep up in the age of AI. We cover what is useful, what is changing, and, often more importantly, what is not changing.

About me

I am Warren, founder of Northbridge Lab.

My background is at the intersection of law, technology, and data governance. I have law degrees from Oxford and Berkeley, but I was never called to the Bar.

I previously worked in Singapore’s public sector, including on data policy in the Prime Minister’s Office and as a software engineer at Open Government Products, GovTech. You almost definitely have used at least one of our software products before.

Today, I build enterprise-grade AI software tailored for the Singapore Bar.

Why this exists

There is a lot of noise around AI.

Practitioners do not need vague futurism, generic demos, or recycled hot takes. They need a clearer view of what is real, what is useful, how to get an edge, and they want it localised for the Singapore context.

That is what you will get here: short notes on law and AI in Singapore, what new guidance and tools mean in practice, where generic AI falls short for legal work, and what good legal software should actually look like.

Because your time is precious, every post will have clear takeaways.

Northbridge Lab

Northbridge Lab builds enterprise-grade AI software for the Singapore Bar.

We currently have AI software tailored for the PIPD Bar that is currently deployed at multiple law firms. We help our clients eliminate repetitive admin work, track deadlines and generate first draft in minutes, while still keeping them fully in control.

We also have an early conveyancing product, which is focused on reducing duplicate data entry, ensuring standard checks are applied, and making it easy to manage high transaction volumes. We are looking for early design partners to try it out.

If you’re interested in what we are building or have other ideas for applying AI and software to your work, feel free to reach out.
